漢斯·克里斯蒂安安徒生，丹麥作家，詩人，世界文學童話創始人，一生共計寫下168篇童話。他首次將“童話”從幼稚粗糙的民間傳說與故事，發展成為優美的、飽含作者內心情感的文學童話，為后世作家的創作留下經典范文。1954年國際兒童讀書聯盟第三次大會上設立以安徒生的名字命名的世界兒童文學大獎——國際安徒生獎，這個獎項至今仍是兒童文學界最高的榮譽。
